Elias Salomonsson will be attending the AHL All-Star Classic the following quarter. The Manitoba Moose defenceman was named to the club’s 2025 all-star squad, the group announced Wednesday, scheduled for Feb. 2-3 in Coachella Valley, Calif. The 20-year-old Swede was selected 55th total by the Winnipeg Jets in the NHL’s 2022 access review, and in his 17 games with the Moose, leads the team’s army in goals, assists and points — even recording the highest points-per-game level, 0.71, among all Deer players. Salomonsson will add an aristocracy list of players who have suited up for the AHL’s all-star activity and gone on to significant NHL careers, including recent Jets Connor Hellebuyck, Vladislav Namestnikov, Nino Niederreiter, Mason Appleton, and more. The Moose, 8-19-1 this year, next square off against the Admirals on Wednesday night in Milwaukee before making a two-game homestand appearance against the Toronto Marlies on Saturday. Trending Now
