Tech billionaire Elon Musk has issued an apology following a global 2.5-hour disruption of high-speed internet services from his company, SpaceX Starlink, on Thursday night. He assured that SpaceX would address the underlying issue to prevent future occurrences, stating, “Sorry for the outage.” Musk stated that SpaceX will address the underlying issue to prevent future occurrences. Since 2020, SpaceX has deployed over 8,000 Starlink satellites. Last month, Starlink began reactivating services for customers across Nigeria, focusing on high-demand areas like Lagos and Abuja. It’s important to note that between October and November of last year, Starlink halted new customer activations while waiting for regulatory approvals. This suspension occurred after the company, which has more than 60,000 subscribers, raised its subscription fees without the Nigerian Communications Commission’s consent in October 2024.
