Ensure oil companies relocate head offices to N’Delta – WACCIMA urges Delta Govt

The Warri Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, WACCIMA, on Thursday urged the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori-led Delta State Government to take all necessary steps to ensure that international oil companies and indigenous oil companies operating major businesses within the Niger Delta region relocate their head offices and establish them within the region as well.

WACCIMA President, Anthony Okoh, made the call in a welcome address at the 61st WACCIMA AGM/Luncheon and Awards Night in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.

According to WACCIMA, “The era of using our resources to develop other parts of the country must stop. We should enjoy full benefits of our natural resources.”

The chamber also called for partnership with the state government, urging the administration to foster a strong, results-oriented collaboration with the private sector to make this vision a tangible reality for all citizens of Delta State.
