​Enyimba and Rangers advance in the President Federation Cup, while Rivers United have been knocked out.    

 

On Wednesday, former champions Enyimba and Rangers advanced to the Round of 16 in the President Federation Cup. Enyimba secured a narrow 1-0 victory over El-kanemi Warriors in a tightly fought Round of 32 match, with Christian Nnaji netting the decisive goal in the first half. Meanwhile, Rangers faced their rivals Heartland and triumphed 5-3 on penalties after the match ended 1-1 in regular time, which took place at the Awka City Stadium. Additionally, the Super Eagles are set to compete against Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago in an invitational tournament. Rivers United faced elimination at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, losing 2-1 to Beyond Limits FA, a team from the Nigeria National League (NNL). Merveille Akinocho opened the scoring for Beyond Limits FA just 14 minutes into the match and increased the lead seven minutes into the second half.
