Arsenal legend, Ian Wright has commended two Gunners players for their roles in staging a late Premier League comeback 2-1 win against Wolves on Saturday night.
Arsenal looked set to drop two important points in the title race when Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare scored in injury time to punish Mikel Arteta’s side.
But a late cross from Bukayo Saka was unfortunately deflected into the net by Wolves defender Yerson Mosquera, who was being pressured by Gabriel Jesus.
However, Wright expressed satisfaction with the contributions of Saka and Jesus that led to the own goal by Mosquera.
“Well done guys that’s not easy,” Wright told his followers on Instagram after the game. “It’s not easy trying to win the league.
“Again we weren’t at our best. We did it, we got the three points at home, which we have to do.
“What can I say, well done Saka again, my friend. Came up with the goods. Jesus beautiful to see even though they’re saying it’s an own goal, I don’t really care.
“We’ve done it three times, finishing now second and we are trying to get over that line. Get behind the boys. Let’s go.”
