Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has claimed that Manchester City goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma has blinked first in the Premier League title race.
According to Carragher, his Arsenal counterpart David Raya could be one of the ābiggest reasonsā that the Gunners win the trophy.
Donnarumma arrived at the Etihad last summer to replace Ederson.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, Carragher highlighted the contributions of both Donnarumma and Raya to their teams last weekend.
The Italian flapped at Jarrod Bowenās cross leading to the equalizer scored by Kostantinos Mavropanos, as City played a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium.
On the other hand, Raya produced several fine saves at 0-0, before Arsenal won 2-0.
Carragher said: āI think most of us favoured Donnarumma didnāt we because of his experience and the fact heās been there before.
āBut thereās no doubt that Donnarumma blinked first. He made an error, corners can be difficult for goalkeepers now but that wasnāt really the case here.
āHe wasnāt knocked out of the way or blocked, it was just really poor from the goalkeeper, he just gets it wrong and misjudges the flight of the ball.
āThat was the goal that brought it back to 1-1 and Man City couldnāt go on to get that winning goal.ā
