EPL: Danny Murphy asks Liverpool to get Chelsea player as successor for Alexander-Arnold

Former Liverpool player Danny Murphy has advised the team to acquire Chelsea full-back Malo Gusto as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, should the England defender depart Anfield at the end of the season. Alexander-Arnold’s contract with Liverpool expires soon, and the club has not yet renewed it, leading to speculation about a possible transfer to Real Madrid in the summer of 2025. Nevertheless, Murphy feels that Gusto would be an ideal substitute for Alexander-Arnold. “I have a strong feeling that he’s going to leave.” “I believe that if he had decided to stay, this issue would likely have been resolved by now,” Murphy commented to MyBettingSites. “They should have secured him a long time ago.” It’s a challenging situation and rather uncommon for Liverpool to have allowed this to occur. They need to learn from this so it doesn’t occur again. He remarked, “Malo Gusto would be an intriguing choice, but I can’t imagine Chelsea allowing him to leave. He’d fit in perfectly, but I don’t think Chelsea would permit him to walk away and join a rival.”
