EPL: I’m thrilled – Graham Potter responds after securing a new managerial position.

Former Chelsea coach Graham Potter has shared his excitement about starting a new managerial role. He was officially named the new manager of Premier League club West Ham United on Thursday, taking over from the recently dismissed Julen Lopetegui. The 49-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Hammers. He will lead his new team for the first time when West Ham faces Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round on Friday evening. “I am delighted to be here,” Potter said on the club’s website. “It was important for me to wait for the right opportunity, and I feel that I am a good match for West Ham United.” Potter has previously managed Premier League teams such as Chelsea and Brighton. West Ham is currently in 14th place on the Premier League standings, with 23 points from 20 matches.
