Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has clarified the reasons behind his team’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham in the Premier League on Boxing Day. Cole Palmer had given Chelsea an early advantage in the first half, but Fulham turned the game around with two late goals from Harry Wilson and Rodrigo Muniz. In his post-match interview, Maresca pointed to his team’s inability to effectively handle transitions in the second half as a key factor in the loss. “I think probably in the first 10-15 minutes of the second half, we conceded too many transitions to them,” Maresca stated to Prime Video in the UK. “We could have managed the second half much better, especially in the first 15-20 minutes.” Then the game arrived. However, we sadly allowed a goal in the final minute.
