An unusual scene took place on board a Brussels Airlines flight from Dakar to Brussels, where a passenger gave birth to a girl, on Friday 14 February 2025. The event occurred while the plane was flying to the Belgian capital, according to Rtl Info and the Facebook page of the Belgian airline. The mother, who had obtained permission to travel despite her advanced pregnancy, began to feel the first contractions shortly after departure. On board, the cabin crew, accompanied by a nurse and a doctor present among the passengers, took matters into their own hands to assist her. Thanks to the rapid and coordinated intervention of this improvised team, the birth took place without complications, allowing the little one to make a remarkable entrance into the world, well above the clouds. This experience is all the more exceptional as airlines avoid accepting pregnant women on board from the 36th week of pregnancy.
