Usman Abdallah, the Technical Adviser for Kano Pillars, has shared exclusive insights with Completesports. He has turned down the club’s petition for him to return to work after only one week of his three-week suspension, according to the former coach of Enyimba and Katsina United in an interview with Completesports. On Thursday, he stated that he is not rushing to go back to his job until he has completed the entire period of his suspension. He also wishes to have the matters related to his suspension settled in order to return to normal. “I was requested to go back to my position just a week after the suspension was issued, but I declined— I preferred to wait until the three weeks were over,” Abdallah explained to Completesports. Abdallah received a three-week suspension after a clash with some supporters of Kano Pillars FC. He stated, “I refused to engage because it is crucial for me to remain out until my suspension is over.” I think that by then, the commotion caused by the incident would have calmed down. The 50-year-old coach, who has previously overseen Enyimba and Katsina United, has also had stints with EPS FC, FC Sète, FC Frontignan, and Bollène FC in France. Holding both UEFA B and UEFA A Licences, he indicated that this fan base has a pattern of intimidating coaches when Kano Pillars does not achieve favorable results. “They similarly targeted past coaches of the club, including Salisu Yusuf, Abdu Maikaba, and Musa Ibrahim,” Abdallah added. Additionally, it’s noted that Kano Pillars has signed six new players.
