Farba Ngom loses his parliamentary immunity: the National Assembly is in a tense atmosphere
The National Assembly of Senegal met this morning in plenary session to decide on the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of the deputy Mouhamadou Ngom, alias Farba Ngom. After a vote marked by a strong participation, the decision was adopted by a large majority. The final result revealed 130 votes in favour of the lifting of immunity, 3 against and 3 abstentions. The Assembly has adopted. The European Parliament, the Council and the Commission have adopted a number of resolutions on the situation in the Middle East and the situation in the Sahel, including a resolution on the situation in the Sahel and a resolution on the situation in the Sahel. This decision now opens the way to legal proceedings against Mr Farba Ngom, who will have to answer the charges against him before the Senegalese courts.
