Fenerbahce, the prominent Turkish football club, has put forward a bid to acquire Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, as reported by Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu (via Tribuna). The first contact with the Ukrainian player was initiated by agent Devin Ozek, and it is believed that discussions between the involved parties are advancing quickly. On Sunday, Hamzaoglu announced that Fenerbahce’s sporting director held discussions with Zinchenko in England, along with Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta. Arsenal has set a transfer fee of €15 million but is open to negotiations if Fenerbahce can agree on terms with the player. Zinchenko has been part of Arsenal since the 2022/23 season, making 91 appearances in total, with 23 last season, during which he scored three goals and provided five assists. Following the signings of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cristian Mosquera, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, and Noni Madueke, Arsenal plans to offload players considered non-essential. Zinchenko, along with Albert Sambi Lokonga, Fabio Vieira, and Reiss Nelson, is among those expected to depart.
