The Supreme Court of Senegal has annulled, on Thursday, all the decisions previously rendered in favor of Ferdinand Coly in his case against Saliou Samb, the current president of the department of Mbour (centre). A judicial reversal which struck the old Senegalese international, but was victorious in the first instance and on appeal. In an interview with L’Observateur, M.Coly reacted with vigour: “The decision of the Cour suprême is a hard blow for justice. It does not rely on the facts, while the culpability was established. What happened today is a flagrant injustice. It is an enormous injustice that we suffer”. Very bitterly, he continued: “We know that the Supreme Court does not re-judge the culpability, but de là à balayer tout le processus, it is unacceptable.
