L’épidémie de fièvre de la Vallée du Rift (FVR) continues to spread in Senegal, now affecting a tenth region, and has been reported in the United Kingdom. According to Libération, it is Kaffrine, which is added to Saint-Louis, Fatick, Matam, Louga, Dakar, Kaolack, Thiès, Tambacounda and Kédougou. In its latest report, published by the same source, the Ministry of Health reported seven new positive cases registered on 6 November, including one in Kaffrine, precisely in the district of Birkelane. Since its appearance in the North of the country, the disease has caused 405 infections, including 29 deaths and 352 recoveries. To date, 24 cases remain active across the ten regions affected.
