The Ministry of Health has made a new point, this Sunday, on the evolution of epidemics in the country.. As regards Rift Valley fever, so far 245 cases have been recorded, an increase of 63 cases compared to Saturday. The number of deaths remained stable at 21 and 193 patients were declared cured. So far, six regions are affected: Saint Louis (221 cases), Matam (10), Louga (7), Dakar (1), Fatick (4) and Kaolack (1). For the Mpox, since the confirmation of the first case, on 22 August 2025, 6 confirmed cases and 2 probable cases have been registered. All located in the Dakar region. No deaths have been reported to date. The Ministry calls on the population to be vigilant, to strictly respect prevention measures, and to actively collaborate with health workers and community relations to contain these epidemics.
