​Floods in Tivaouane: Mame Abdou Aziz Dabakh’s hospital paralyzed by the waters 

  The Mame Abdou Aziz Sy Dabakh Hospital in Tivaouane is under water after the rain that fell on Monday, August 11, 2025. According to the data of the Departmental Service of Agriculture of Tivaouane, the commune has registered 103 mm of precipitation. Situated in a low-lying area, the hospital was flooded by the rainwater. According to Sidy Lamine Ndoye, personnel representative on the board of directors, several services, including maternity, medicine, radiology and laboratory, are currently out of service. As a safety measure, electricity was cut and some medical equipment was damaged by the water. The corridors, the exit door and the main entrance are flooded. However, the situation seems to be under control and the patients are still at the scene.
