​Foundiougne: A decisive step towards universal access to drinking water! 

  On Thursday 6 March 2025, the Minister of Hydraulics and Sanitation, Dr Cheikh Tidiane Dièye, will inaugurate the fresh water transfer system connecting Ndiayenne Moussa Ndiaye to Foundiougne. This large-scale project aims to secure the supply of drinking water in this area, ensuring a more efficient and continuous distribution to local populations. This strategic infrastructure, with a capacity adapted to the growing needs of the region, will improve the pressure and quality of distribution while optimising the management of water resources. These structural initiatives are fully in line with the national policy of universal access to drinking water, in line with the government’s strategic guidelines and the legitimate expectations of the population. These projects demonstrate a concrete commitment to sustainable development, the well-being of citizens and the resilience of water infrastructures in the face of climatic and demographic challenges.With these achievements, Foundiougne has taken a decisive step towards a reliable, durable and quality water supply, thus strengthening the living conditions and the economic dynamism of the region.
