Four women arrested in the urban police station of Dakar

The Sûreté urbaine du commissariat central de Dakar has arrested four (4) individuals in Ouakam, following an intelligence operation targeting a prostitution network. According to the National Police, they are being prosecuted for “proxénétisme, incitement à la débauche, public outrage à la pudeur et diffusion d’images à caractère pornographique. I’m not sure. The events took place in an apartment where a group of young women engaged in prostitution. “The person responsible recruited and paid three other girls, with payments ranging between 40 000 and 60 000 FCFA per week”, the investigators specify. The case took on a more serious dimension when the police discovered that telephone numbers and obscene images were being disseminated online to promote sexual services, with rates set at 5,000 and 10,000 FCFA. Placed in custody, the four (4) women were questioned by the investigators. One of them affirmed “not to be a prostitute”, explaining that she was only responsible for answering calls. The defendants were referred to the public prosecutor at the Dakar High Court.
