Friendly game favours Leandra Future Stars

Tsakani – The U13 friendly match between Kopano FC and the Leandra Future Stars started under unpredictable weather at the Ext 13 Green Point ground on March 30.

The players passionately tackled the ball, hoping to score goals, while spectators from all corners of the ground cheered for their favourite team to win.

Kopano FC coach, Boy Mkhabela, said they fought a tiring battle against their prepared and skilled opponents.

“We played a great game that kept me on my feet from start to finish. Each time I thought we would score, the other team made sure to play ahead.

“The game was interesting and challenging enough to keep everyone entertained. I am happy with how my team performed. I’m not disappointed at all. Both halves were beautifully played. I am happy we tried our best,” said Mkhabela.

The Leandra Future Stars won 3-2. Their coach, Simon Mahlangu, said they did not travel from Mpumalanga to lose a friendly game.

“We proved our strengths and remained unshakable. The second half went well after substituting players and motivating them,” he explained.

Mahlangu said he was beyond happy with the result.
