Since the launch of the economic recovery plan by Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, I feel a deep malaise. A professional malaise, but also personal. Because in the light of the statements made during this announcement, I am considering today, if God wills it, to suspend my profession as a journalist and launch myself into the automobile business. It’s not a decision made on a whim. It is a direct consequence of a discourse which, in my eyes, marked a disengagement of the State towards the media sector. Yet, with the arrival of the tandem Diomaye Sonko to power, I was filled with hope.
