Fubara hosts NSA, federal delegation for key site inspections in RiversĀ 

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara on Monday welcomed the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, and his team to the Government House in Port Harcourt.

The NSA was accompanied by the Minister of Works, David Umahi; the Minister of Environment, Balarabe Lawal; and the Director-General of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, Chukwuemeka Woke.

The delegation is visiting Rivers State to carry out a high-level inspection of key sites.

Their schedule includes checking ongoing work on the East-West Road, visiting the Yorla Oilfield spill site in Kpean Community and stopping at the University of Environmental Technology in Ogoni, the Gokana Oil Facility and Hospital at K-Dere, the Industrial Park site, and Taabaa General Hospital.

Governor Fubara praised the delegation for their coordinated efforts to manage the oil spill and protect affected communities.

He also urged the federal government to be patient with the people regarding the resumption of oil exploration in Ogoniland.
