After an interruption of two years, the State relaunched its subsidy mechanism in favour of the media sector. Le Fonds d’appui à la presse is again available, announced Monday the Director of Communication of the Ministry of Communication and the Digital Economy, Habibou Dia, during his intervention televised on RTS1 (Kenkeliba). The return of this aid is, however, accompanied by an immediate numerical filtering. The single window platform (DMS) is open from 8 a.m. for applications, but access to the assistance is strictly reserved for legally established press companies. M. and It is clearly indicated that any press organ which is not in compliance with the provisions of the Code of the Press will not be able to even view the application form on the site. This automatic exclusion has the stated objective of encouraging environmental actors to regularise their situation. Only those entities which comply with their legal obligations may, de facto, benefit from government subsidies, as specified. This support policy is part of the continuity of the cleaning work carried out by the authorities.
