Galatasaray and Trabzonspor Compete for Arokodare

Turkish teams Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are looking to secure KRC Genk striker Tolu Arokodare this summer. Defending champions Galatasaray are interested in Arokodare as a potential replacement for fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen, in case they are unable to sign him permanently. Osimhen has been on loan with Galatasaray from Serie A club Napoli since September. While Galatasaray is eager to keep him, Osimhen seems inclined to pursue an opportunity in the Premier League. Trabzonspor nearly acquired Arokodare last summer but couldn’t meet Genk’s asking price. Now, the Black Sea Storm is set to rekindle their interest in the forward, as reported by Turkish news source, Fotomac. The 24-year-old has netted 20 goals and provided seven assists in 36 games for Genk this season. He also played for Nigeria in the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
