​Gendarmerie nationale: The news is down for General Moussa Fall 

  The information is given by our confrères de Source A. According to the newspaper, General Moussa Fall is allowed to assert his rights to a retirement pension. Aged 62 years since Tuesday 20 May, the former High Commandant of the National Gendarmerie joins the second section of the cadres of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Le général Fall was due to retire in May 2023, recalls Source A, which published the news in its edition of this Thursday 22. However, a decree of Macky Sall, taken in December 2021, had extended by two years the age of departure for the generals of the army, the corps d’armée, the division, the division aérienne, the admirals of the squadron and the vice-admirals. Five months earlier, the former President had made him head of the gendarmerie, replacing Jean-Baptiste Tine, the current Minister of the Interior. In total, General Moussa Fall spent 36 years in the gendarmerie, holding various posts such as Haut commandant donc, patron de la Section de recherches de Dakar and military governor of the presidential palace, among others.
