”Genocide israélien”: La Tunisie demands to be held to account for the…

Tunisia has officially expressed, this Saturday, its appeal to prosecute the Israeli perpetrators to “respond for their crimes of genocide”. This declaration was made through a communiqué of the Tunisian diplomacy, relayed on the Facebook page of the Ministry. According to the declaration, “the conclusion of a ceasefire agreement should not make the defenders of law and justice in the world forget the responsibility to bring to justice those responsible of the occupying entity for their acts of genocide and massacres against the Palestinian people, our brother”. This position underlines Tunisia’s commitment not to let these acts go unpunished. It sees this period as crucial in the struggle for self-determination and the recovery of the legitimate historical rights of the Palestinians. Reaffirming its support for “the struggles of the Palestinian people”, Tunisia welcomes the ceasefire agreement in Gaza after more than fifteen months of violence qualified as genocidal. The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip will begin on Sunday 19 January at 08:30 local time, or 06:30 GMT. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, as reported on the site of our confrères de Andalou.
