From 1 June 2025, Google will apply a value added tax (VAT) of 18% to all digital services provided to users located in Senegal. Professional users of Google services, subject to VAT, will have to provide their local tax information, including the NINEA or the commercial register number. These data will allow the American giant to generate invoices in accordance with Senegalese legislation. This tax applies to immaterial services provided in an automated manner via computer or electronic networks, such as subscriptions to digital platforms, online advertising services, downloads of content or cloud services.
Google will comply with the Senegalese tax legislation as of 1 June
