Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has assured residents of Takum Local Government Council of his administration’s commitment to strengthening border security through close collaboration with neighbouring states.
Kefas gave the assurance over the weekend while attending a get-together programme organised by elder statesman General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (retd) for staff working across his various establishments in the state.
The governor expressed delight at the prevailing peace in Takum, noting that normalcy has returned to the area after a period of unrest.
According to him, “life and love have returned”, a development he attributed to sustained efforts by his administration and support from local communities.
He emphasised that his government would continue to prioritise the safety of lives and property, particularly in border communities, by working closely with relevant authorities in neighbouring states to curb insecurity.
Kefas also paid glowing tribute to General Danjuma, commending his longstanding contributions to the development of Taraba State and his impact on the nation at large.
