Government communication: a new restriction imposed on ministers and DGs

From now on, communication at the level of ministries, directorates and other related services must no longer be focused on the bosses of these entities, but on them. This is the main measure adopted during the meeting of the Committee for the Coordination of the Communication of the Executive (COMEX), organized at the Primature, last Friday. “Les cellules de communication [are required] to base their communication plans on the institution itself and not on the person who assures its direction”, announces the Bureau d’information et de communication (BIC) du gouvernement in a note taken up by Le Quotidien. The journal underlines that this Comex meeting was extended to communicants of the various ministries. “This initiative is part of a dynamic of strengthening the synergy and harmonization of institutional communication in order to ensure a more coherent, effective and impactful information for the Senegalese populations”, informs the BIC du gouvernement.
