Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has urged Nigerians to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, other national leaders, and security personnel, seeking divine guidance and enhanced security throughout the nation. This appeal was made in a statement released by his media aide, Mamman Mohammed, during a courtesy visit from the Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi Foundation at the Government House on Friday. Governor Buni emphasized that prayers can lead to divine assistance for leaders, helping them provide effective governance and improve citizens’ lives, while negative prayers could lead to ineffective leadership and poor service delivery. He stated the significance of praying for Alimighty Allah’s guidance on the President, Governors, and all leaders for success in enhancing security and fostering peace in Nigeria. Buni also called for continued prayers for the security forces, citing positive outcomes seen in Yobe State in combating insurgency due to prayer. He encouraged ongoing prayer efforts for the president, all leaders, and security forces to achieve success. Meanwhile, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi, the Foundation’s chairman, noted that their visit was related to the Maulud anniversary of Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani and mentioned attendees from various countries and states who came to pray for the nation. He expressed gratitude to Yobe State for their support of the event and promised prayers for the state, its leaders, and national peace.
