Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has reaffirmed his support for the 26th NUGA Games, now scheduled to hold at the University of Jos from 6–16 November, as he pledged to promote youth engagement and develop sports infrastructure across the state.. The 26th edition of the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) Games, earlier slated for April, was rescheduled to November and will be hosted by the University of Jos.. Governor Mutfwang disclosed this on Wednesday while receiving a delegation from Royal CBS Group, led by Mr Khalifah Onu. Royal CBS are the prime consultants for the forthcoming NUGA Games.. “Under my leadership, the state is committed to ensuring adequate security and logistical support during and after the upcoming NUGA 2025 Games to guarantee successful hosting of the tournament.. Our goal is not only to successfully host the event but also to use it as a platform to promote hospitality and position Plateau as a hub for sports tourism,” the governor said.. He added: “The state is already in touch with the University of Jos to facilitate preparations and ensure the smooth execution of the Games. I guarantee you that we are committed to working with all stakeholders to deliver on this mandate and transform sports into a tool for youth empowerment.”. Governor Mutfwang also assured that the state government would provide financial support and collaborate with partners to showcase the tournament as a platform for Nigerian youths to compete and excel at national and global levels.. Meanwhile, Mr Khalifah Onu, Chairman of Royal CBS Group, thanked the governor for his support and readiness in providing an enabling environment for the successful hosting of the Games..
