The Commissariat d’arrondissement de Grand Yoff has arrested, in the night of 31 August to 1 September, five individuals for association of criminals and robbery in a meeting with use of weapons blanches. The arrests follow the complaint of two men who were assaulted by a group of youths in the Arafat neighborhood, in front of a bar. The assailants had taken their mobile phones, one to Makka II and the other to Arafat.. Thanks to the crucial testimony of a person, the investigations have allowed to locate and arrest the group of criminals in their repairs, nicknamed the “Réseau”. Once in the police station, the victims and the witness formally recognized the faces and clothes of the suspects. After being heard, the five men admitted the facts. A 37 cm knife was seized during their interrogation. The suspects have been placed in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
