The Commissariat d’arrondissement de Grand-Yoff (Dakar), a procédé, on Sunday 3 August 2025, between 10h and 17h, à l’interpellation de onze (11) individus, a annoncé la Police nationale dans un communiqué publié sur sa page Facebook officielle. The police said that the arrest of the suspects had been carried out by the Commissariat d’arrondissement de Grand-Yoff (Dakar), a procédé, on Sunday 3 August 2025, between 10h and 17h, at the interpellation of eleven (11) individuals, an announcement was made by the National Police in a communiqué published on its official Facebook page. According to the communiqué, five (05) persons were arrested “in the Darou district, in a building under construction, in the Indian market”, specifying that “three cornets pleins et deux cornets entamés were seized on the spot”. The document adds that two (02) persons were arrested in the Arafat neighbourhood: “one for possession of five boulettes of hashish and seven ecstasy tablets, the other for detention of three cornets of Indian hemp”. According to the National Police, one (01) individual was arrested in Khar Yalla following a complaint for theft of a motorcycle, and another in the Cité Millionnaire, in possession of an arme blanche (a knife). “Two people have been arrested in front of the municipal stadium of Grand-Yoff for rioting on the public road”, the document continues.
