Guinea: Le Général Mamadi Doumbouya appointed a former minister of Alpha Condé

In Guinea, the President of the transition, General of the Army Mamadi Doumbouya, has appointed Oumar Saïd Koulibaly as the new Director General of the Société de Gestion des Aéroports de Guinée (SOGEAG SA) on Friday 15 August 2025. This high cadre is no stranger to the national political scene. Under the regime of Alpha Condé, he had occupied the post of Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Economy. His return to business, this time under a military regime, is perceived as a proof of his readiness to serve the Republic every time it appeals to its competences. Oumar Saïd Koulibaly succeeded Mory Camara, recently appointed Minister of Energy. Its mission at the head of SOGEAG will be to strengthen the management and development of the country’s airport infrastructure, in a context marked by challenges linked to the modernisation of facilities and the increase in air traffic.
