Following President John Dramani Mahama’s State of the Nation address, the two primaries earlier today transformed Parliament House into a singing competitors.
Following the President’s statement, the NDC conference started singing the’ 24 hours market ‘ song to compliment President Mahama.
Not to be outdone, the NPP conference also chimed in with their own version of the song, changing some of the phrases to make the claim that Mahama had brought up Dumsor.
The two primaries chanted loudly during the incident, which also caused entertaining reactions on social media.
The NPP was dragged around by social media users for turning Parliament House into a rodeo, with one person saying,” This is how they would remain in opposition for about 20 years.”
Another wrote:” Gyimiii sei professional na 4 times aba then a change will occur and maintain the fooling”,
Since 2012, when the first Mahama administration was bedeviled by the worst power crisis in history, the issue of dumsor ( or intermittent power cuts ) has been a significant one in Ghana.
On the backside of that issue, which bred financial instablity, the NPP won power in 2016, but lost to Mahama in 2024 after two words of decision. The NPP claims that they left energy with the lights on and that Mahama should keep it on, but Ghana has just experienced dumsor once more.
In his State of the Nation address, President Mahama outlined a number of promises, including completely primary education for citizens with disabilities and junior training in Okada riding to combat unemployment.
