Her Teachings Were Dangerous And Outdated, She Forced Women To Stay In Bad Marriages – Charlie Dior Weighs In On Counsellor Charlotte’s Divorce

Ghanaian fashion critic, Charlie Dior has added his voice to the ongoing brouhaha surrounding the divorce of Counsellor Charlotte Oduro.

In a comment under a post on Instagram, Charlie expressed his frustration with the counsellor’s approach, stating, “I really dislike how she speaks with such authority about what women need to do in marriage, as if there’s a one-size-fits-all formula. It’s always about how women should behave, what they should tolerate, and how they should cater to their husbands, but there’s barely any accountability or guidance directed at men.”

He described her teachings as “dangerous and misleading” because they reinforce outdated gender roles and unfairly burden women with the responsibility of sustaining marriages. According to Charlie, these teachings perpetuate an imbalance, leaving women stuck in unhealthy relationships.

“It’s 2025—we need more balanced, realistic conversations about marriage that empower both men and women,” he concluded.

His comment comes after Pastor Solomon Oduro officially announced his divorce from Charlotte Oduro. He added that due to failed attempts to work things out, they decided to go their separate ways.
