The management of the legacy of feu Daouda Bèye feeds the debates. Amina Beye, daughter of the deceased and family spokesperson, has strongly denounced the actions of their “former” lawyer Me Khalilou Sèye, whom she accuses of serious shortcomings in the handling of their dossier. Amina Beye, visibly affected, is revenue on the judicial peripéties that surround the legacy left by her father, who died in 2016. She explained that the family, composed of four children and a widow, had initially trusted Me Khalilou Sèye, a relative of the deceased, to ensure the management of the succession. “After the death of our father, Daouda Beye, we have appealed to the services of Me Khalilou Sèye, thinking that he would act in the interests of the family. But after having observed numerous irregularities and a flagrant lack of transparency in its management, we have decided to withdraw the dossier”, confided Amina Beye. However, the situation was complicated when one of the half-sisters, Adja Maguette Beye, decided to continue collaborating with the lawyer involved. According to Amina, Me Sèye would have withdrawn 130,590,724 CFA francs from the bank accounts of the deceased, a sum which, according to her, was to revert to all the heirs. The family, faced with financial difficulties, had then given power of attorney to Me Aliou Sène, avocat à Thiès, to facilitate a provisional division and to settle certain urgent matters. The latter had been asked to work in collaboration with Me Sèye.. But the hopes placed in Me Aliou Sène also seem to be fading.
