Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has encouraged his old club to pursue a summer signing of Victor Osimhen. After a disappointing season, the Gunners are likely to seek a new striker. Osimhen is among the forwards being considered by the North London side. The Nigerian international is presently on loan at Galatasaray, the champions of the Turkish Super Lig, from Napoli. At 26 years old, he has scored 26 goals and provided five assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds. Gallas thought that the Nigerian international would be an excellent addition to Arsenal. “Osimhen is the player I would aim to recruit,” Gallas mentioned to Prime Casino. “He has been showing great form at Galatasaray, currently on loan from Napoli, and his time there is limited to just one season. He is a talented player.” While he may not be the main player, he has the potential to net 20 goals in a season. “He attracts the attention of defenders, which means he could partner with Kai Havertz or another forward.” He would gain a bit more liberty, enabling him to find opportunities to score goals for the team. This is the reason a forward of his caliber would suit Arsenal well. Written by Adeboye Amosu
