The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, has authorised, on an exceptional basis, the recruitment of 700 new trainers for the year 2025. The announcement was made on Monday 22 July in Dakar, through a communiqué du ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l’Innovation (MESRI). According to the information supplied by the Communication Unit of the Presidency (BIG-GOUV), 500 trainers will be assigned to public institutions of higher education, while 200 others will reinforce the workforce in the sector of vocational and technical training. This decision is part of the “human capital” component of the national transformation agenda “Senegal 2050”, a long-term development strategy carried out by the highest authorities of the State.
