The home-based Super Eagles will hold their training camp abroad in preparation for the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN. This was revealed by Ibrahim Gusau, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), during a media discussion. Gusau believes that this decision will enhance the team’s performance in the tournament. He assured that the federation is committed to getting the team in peak condition for the competition. The event, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, is scheduled to take place from February 1 to February 28, 2025. “We intentionally want them to have a dedicated place where they can train and settle without distractions,” he said. “They will be there for approximately two weeks, after which we will organize a foreign camping location for them to play quality friendly matches before heading to the tournament venue,” Gusau said. “We are fully aware of our responsibilities and will provide them with the preparation they need.”
