How Do You Expect Me To Come Back Home After Working For 12-15 Hours To Cook For You Just Because You Are My Husband? – Abena Moet Sparks Debate

Abena Moet, a well-known African media personality, has sparked a contentious debate about traditional gender roles in marriage.
She challenged the notion that brides may often cook and clean, irrespective of their task, during a panel discussion on the functions of men and women in interactions on GhOne Television.
Wedding is a relationship where both parties make contributions of various kinds, according to Abena Moet. She acknowledged that while one spouse does provide financial security, the other is expected to take care of the family. She argued, however, that there must be a bargain when both colleagues put in long hours.
” Only because you are my father, how do you expect me to return home after working 12 to 15 days to prepare for you?” You will arrive early, but you may decide to sit on the couch and watch TV while you wait for me to make for you. Why”? she asked.
She also offered some helpful advice for couples who struggle with managing careers and house chores. She thinks people should think about ordering foods or hiring private help to lessen the strain rather than just one person.
Since then, her speech has sparked combined reactions on social media. Some people have questioned whether she treats her husband, particularly as a profession woman, similarly at home.
