Ibrahim Mahama Gives 13-Year-Old KNUST Student A Private Jet Tour, Pledges Full Scholarship  

Ghanaian business and charity Ibrahim Mahama just gave 13-year-old Melchizedek Adio Baafawiise a once-in-a-lifetime practice aboard one of his private jets, giving the young professor a unique tour of the plane and a chance to witness the pilot in action. Melchizedek’s love for aircraft and technology has shaped his amazing intellectual journey, and the experience was a dream come true.
The meeting, held in Accra on February 3, 2025, was not only a party of Melchizedek’s efforts but even a devotion to his future. He graduated from Bole in the Savannah Region and became the youngest student ever to be admitted to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST ), securing a spot in the Bachelor of Science in Physics program after receiving 5 As and 3 Bs in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination ( WASSCE). He was the youngest academic at KNUST because of his extraordinary abilities, which caused him to skip several grades.
During their conference, Ibrahim Mahama praised Melchizedek for his talent and patience. As part of his assistance, he pledged to fully finance the young professor’s training, covering education, accommodation, and all important educational expenses at KNUST and beyond. The life-changing aid was a stepping stone toward more opportunities for Melchizedek, according to Melchizedek’s parents, who expressed deep appreciation for it.
Ibrahim Mahama reiterated his commitment to caring young talent by encouraging the young phenom to keep striving for greatness. Young heads like Melchizedek are the country’s potential, according to the saying. He remarked that it is our responsibility to encourage and nourish them so that they can fulfill their potential.
