
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the posting of senior officers to key positions across the Nigeria Police Force in a move to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance leadership capacity, and improve service delivery nationwide.
In a statement on March 24, 2026, by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid, the postings were said to align with ongoing efforts to reinforce the Force’s structure and ensure strategic deployment of personnel across Commands, Formations, and Departments.
Under the redeployments, several Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) were assigned to critical departments at Force Headquarters and zonal commands.
AIG Ado Emmanuel was posted to Research and Planning, while AIG Joseph Eribo moved to Armament. AIG Miller G. Dantawaye was deployed to Operations, AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche to Training and Development, and AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo to the Police Affairs Branch. AIG Dahiru Mohammed was posted to Zone 15, Maiduguri.
Others include AIG Dankombo F. Morris to Zone 4, Makurdi; AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba to Legal Services; AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing; AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos; AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom to FCID Annex, Lagos; and AIG Haruna Olufemi to the Special Protection Unit in Abuja.
Commissioners of Police (CPs) were also redeployed across state commands and specialised units. CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya was posted to Jigawa State Command, while CP Betty Enekpen Otimenyin was assigned to Welfare at Force Headquarters. CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola moved to Oyo State, CP Yemi John Oyeniyi to Training and Staff Development, and CP Olubode Ojajuni to Ogun State Command.
Others include CP Michael Adegoroye Falade to Ekiti; CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro to Adamawa; CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed to the FCT; CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai to Lagos; CP Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba; CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello to Zamfara; CP Umar Ali Fagge to Katsina; and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan to Sokoto.
Further postings placed CP Akan Ezima as Director of the NPF-NCCC, Abuja, while CP Abbas Sule went to the Special Protection Unit. CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue was deployed to INTERPOL, Abuja; CP Mnwadiogbu Cletus to POLAC as Deputy Commandant; and CP Danjuma I. Yahaya to General Investigation, FCID Annex, Kaduna.
Other deployments include CP Sheik M. Danko to FCID Annex, Lagos; CP Moses Ashu Otta to SWAT, Abuja; CP Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu to Eastern Ports Authority; CP Sarah Ehindero to Administration, FCID Abuja; CP Edwin Ogbegbghagha to Provost, Force Headquarters; and CP Preye R. Egbe to INEC, Abuja.
Additional postings placed CP Adebisi Bola Lateef at Master Printing, Lagos; CP Bolou O. Etete in Community Policing and Research and Planning; CP Ojugbele E. The IGP charged the officers to bring their experience to bear in their new assignments and to uphold professionalism, discipline, and commitment to service.
