Arsenal star, Eberechi Eze, has declared that he is ‘possessed by the Holy Spirit’ after scoring a goal for the team against Mansfield Town in the FA Cup on Saturday.
The England international played a key role in securing the win during the fifth round of the competition, with teammate Noni Madueke also contributing to the scoreline.
In a post-match interview, Eze also celebrated the team’s performance and advancement in the tournament.
“This is a special competition for us, and reaching the next round is what we wanted,” Eze told ESPN.
“I am possessed by Holy Spirit. I saw the opportunity in the box, and whenever I’m near the goal, I try to create opportunities and make things happen.
“I thank God I scored today,” he said.
Arsenal will face Bayer Leverkusen in their upcoming Champions League clash mid-week.
