Deceased: Pastor Joseph Mothswali, affectionately known as ‘Mas Mas’, was born on June 30, 1953, and died on June 3.

Mothswali was a pillar of strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the community of Kwa-Thema.

Community: Mothswali’s journey was marked by a profound commitment to uplifting those around him. He was the visionary founder of the Izicebhi taxi service, which provides reliable transportation and fosters a sense of unity among residents.

In 2003 he established the Ratanang Foundation, focusing on substance abuse prevention, combating gender-based violence, and implementing feeding schemes to support the community.

His efforts extended to founding the Abafundisi organisation in Kwa-Thema, offering spiritual guidance and leadership to fellow pastors, and serving as a member of the Peace Ambassadors, promoting harmony and understanding.

Beyond his community work, Mothswali was known for his early passion for photography and soccer. His keen eye behind the camera captured moments that told stories of resilience and joy, while his skills on the soccer field brought people together, fostering camaraderie and teamwork.

Family: Mothswali is survived by his beloved daughter and sister.

Funeral: The service will take place at Old Tlamuha on Sunday, at 07:00. The cortege will proceed to Vlakfontein Cemetery at 09:00
