​In the AfroBasket 2025 tournament, D’Tigress is set to compete against former champions Mali in the final match.    

 

Nigeria’s D’Tigress are set to face Mali in the final of the FIBA women’s AfroBasket today (Sunday) in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. This matchup marks the first time these two teams have met in an AfroBasket final. D’Tigress reached this stage after defeating Senegal 75-68, while Mali secured their spot by beating South Sudan 76-50. D’Tigress is aiming for a record fifth consecutive title and their seventh overall, whereas Mali is seeking their first title since 2007. A victory for Mali would allow them to match Egypt and Angola with two titles.
