In the case of the Sogepa affair: Bibi Baldé auditionné, Senegindia, Eiffage, CSS and the Islamic Bank in the viseur

A new stage has been reached in the investigation into the audit of public finances, notably around the so-called “Sukuk Sogepa” case. According to the daily Libération, several personalities have been heard by the Division of Criminal Investigations (DIC)… Among them was the former director general of La Poste, Bibi Baldé. His hearing took place last Tuesday in the context of the inquiry into the 114.4 billion FCFA not returned to the public treasury. Of this amount, nearly 10 billion FCFA would have been traced to La Poste. However, other structures and companies are also cited in this case. These include Eiffage, Senegindia, the Compagnie sucrière sénégalaise and Bamba Ndiaye SA, all of which have been placed in the crosshairs of the investigators. In addition, Abdoul Yaya Kane, former director general of the Sogepa, as well as the former and current director of the Banque islamique du Sénégal, were heard.
