Injury to the Prime Minister: A man arrested in Touba

A man, identified as Mr. Sarr, was arrested in Touba for having uttered offensive words against Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. According to information reported by Seneweb, Mr Sarr, a mason by profession, was placed in custody in the premises of the Section de recherches (SR) in Colobane after being arrested in his hometown. In this video, he openly insults Ousmane Sonko and regrets his implication in the election of the tandem Diomaye-Sonko. Mr Sarr’s anger is linked to the dismissal of his three nephews from the Port Autonome de Dakar. Following these insults, the procureur de la République took over the case and entrusted the investigation to the Section de recherches de Colobane. After investigations by the gendarmerie, Mr Sarr was arrested at his home in Touba, before being transferred to Dakar to be placed in custody. He should soon be heard on the reasons for his remarks.
