Former lawmaker, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, has blasted those not in support of the presence of US troops in Nigeria.
Sani said this in a statement posted on his verified X handle on Sunday.
He was reacting to the first batch of American troops deployed to Nigeria to confront the insecurity bedeviling the country.
DAILY POST reports that three United States military aircraft have landed at the Nigerian Air Force base in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Reacting, the former lawmaker said, “Those who are not happy with the presence of the American troops helping our troops to fight terrorists should tell the country they love or trust to send their troops or weapons to help us fight the evil forces in our country.
“Countries that are only sympathising with us or issuing statements after killings or kidnappings are of no use to us at this material time.”
