Iran accuses US, Israel of violating ceasefire agreementĀ

Iran has accused the United States and Israel of violating the terms of the agreement for the two-week temporary ceasefire brokered by Pakistan.

In a post on X on Wednesday, Iranian Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that three clauses in their 10-point proposal had been breached.

Ghalibaf listed the non-compliance with ā€œthe first clause,ā€ regarding the ceasefire in Lebanon, saying it was among Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitments.

The lawmaker also mentioned the entry of an intruding drone into Iran’s airspace, which was destroyed in the city of Lar in Fars Province.

The third infraction, according to Ghalibaf, is the denial of Iran’s right to enrichment, which he said was included in the sixth clause of the framework.

The official said with the ā€œworkable basis on which to negotiateā€ openly violated even before the negotiations began, a ceasefire or negotiations ā€œis unreasonable.ā€

The White House dismissed Iran’s initial proposal on Wednesday, saying it was ā€œfundamentally unserious, unacceptable, and completely discarded.ā€

ā€œIt was literally thrown in the garbage by President Donald Trump and his negotiating team,ā€ Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.

The spokesperson said Iran had put forward a ā€œmore reasonable and entirely different condensed planā€ after acknowledging the reality of the defeat they were facing.
